INTERVENING, RESCUING GRACE
“But God.” It is a simple phrase appearing in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. And it speaks of our great need for God to intervene in our lives. This wonderful phrase also communicates that He is a great God, who is committed and available to undertake on our behalf day by day. There are many problems that face every life. From the flesh and self, to the world, to the enemy of our souls, the problems man faces seem insurmountable. “BUT GOD.” This is the intervening, reassuring grace of God, rescuing man our of self justification in order to reveal God’s condemnation leading to God’s justification and godly living thereafter in a relationship based on grace. This study is a look at man’s great need for God who is willing and able to be all that we need for life and godliness. God can take us from a self satisfied life to a life filled with the exceeding riches of His grace in knowing Him.
